The DHRC is one of the three research centers under the Research and Development Division (RDD) of the Ghana Health Service (GHS). Administratively the DHRC is under the supervision of the Regional Health Directorate (RHD) of the Greater Accra Region.

The DHRC gets support from the government of Ghana through the Ghana Health Service and its partners.
