The IT Unit is responsible for the development, execution and supervision of plans, policies, programs and practices that control, protect, deliver and enhance the value of ICT assets of all research projects/studies conducted by the centre as well as providing ICT services and maintaining the centre’s LAN/WAN services.

Provide quality IT services to research projects, staff and collaborators, aimed at facilitating the achievement of the DHRC,s mandate.

Objectives
1. Provide technical advice and support on computer-related issues (hardware & Software).
2.Maintain the centre’s LAN and WAN.
3. Maintain the centre’s website (www.dodowa-hrc.org).
4.Update management on current Data/IT issues.
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Services:
The ICT Unit has a 24/7 dedicated Internet connectivity service that supports researchers in their work. Internet access points are made available in the offices and on the campus Wi-Fi. It also has dedicated high-capacity servers with security-protected firewalls and Antivirus, as well as surge protectors, powered by a 24/7 solar power inverter. The Unit also updates the DHRC website and provides IT Support services and maintaining the centre’s LAN/WAN services.
